Point-to-Point-Control (PTP)

PTP is short for point to point control. With that movement control only the TCP (tool center point) position in the respective points is defined. Between the points the TCP position is unknown to the programmer. A simple PTP-Controler transmits the set values for the axis positions of the individual points directly to the control. The servo motors will the readjust to these values. Usually the axis movement is such controlled that all axes movemments will reach their end position at the same time.
